“Change happens through movement and movement heals”

Joseph Pilates (1883 - 1967)

Pilates is a demanding method of movement and body exercise designed to extend,
to enforce and to balance the body.

It was developed in the early 20th century by Joseph H. Pilates.

He originally called his method Contrology while Pilates was named after his death in 1967.

Classical Pilates is the classic approach to the method, which follows a specific set of exercises and levels and is performed with flow. Pilates equipment, Reformer, Cadillac, Wall Unit Tower and Wunda Chair provide different challenges to the body in relation to free movement on the mattress. The variety of movements with the resistance of the springs in different directions will help you to improve your posture, to gain strength, endurance, flexibility and balance.

The Classical method involves more than 500 controlled precise movements. The principles on which it is based are the centre, control, concentration, respiration, flow and accuracy of movement.

The courses are tailored to the needs and level of each trainee and focus on body support and a sense of satisfaction from the experience. Leaving the lesson will make you feel refreshed as if you had done a full body massage. Every cell in your body will feel awake and alive.

After all, as Joe used to say, "we are as young as our spine is."
